A Factory to Admire

While many factories in China such as those in Manufactured Landscape appear to be in heartbreaking conditions, there is at least one that we can admire.  The factory for Mandarin Green Plastics Co. in China is pristine, according to Taylor Glenn‘s photography project called Far Chang.  Glenn was invited to observe the lifestyle of those who work in this factory and the working condition of the factory.

“The facility is clean and the workers are treated well.  The Miao family, who operates this business do so with integrity and compassion.  This is an important story that is not being told in mainstream media.” – Glenn

Glenn does not only document people beautifully, but also the landscape of the factory.  Seeing the interior and the exterior of the factory gives the viewers an insight that the factory is indeed clean.  When I view the workers, I envision them as heroic people who work just as hard as the CEOs, Vice-Presidents of companies and managers and are leading a fulfilling lives with their families in spite of manufacturing products, plastic flowers, which appear to be so simple.
